Samsung PN59D8000 is a 59 inch plasma 3D TV which has an ultra slim display of only 1.5 inch deep. The style of this TV is excellent and includes a spider design stand, but you may choose to hang it on the wall if you desire. There are multiple picture adjustments that can customize the picture to one’s personal preference. The high refresh rate makes any motion smooth and realistic.
The anti-glare screen to reduce reflexions is excellent, you are able to watch TV in very lighted rooms during daytime without the colors or the deep, dark black levels to be washed out. In a dark room the picture is simply amazing.
The audio quality provided by the built-in speakers is just decent, but this is true for any HDTV, especially being this thin. HDTV can never compare to an audio system, but it has all the connections you need to hook one. You may consider buying a home theater system to truly enjoy this Samsung PN59D8000 HDTV.
Having a built-in Wi-fi, this model is Internet-ready. You have acces to Samsung’s apps store where you can download apps like Netflix and other non-standard ones like Google Maps, Google Talk, Skype and a ton more.
It includes many features and one of them is the remote control which is easy to use and pretty intuitive and has a QWERTY keyboard on the back side to help you type relatively quickly into apps, searches, sign-ups etc. The keyboard side of the remote has a usable thumb sensor allowing easy cursor navigation of the built-in web browser and applications. Everything lights up when you use it so you can see everything in a dimly lit environment.
